CCMA Directive: Access to the CCMA during COVID-19 Lockdown

On 8 May 2020, the Director of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration issued a directive regarding access to the CCMA during the COVID-19 Lockdown. This directive will be applicable from 11 May 2020 until such time as the CCMA operations are normalised or the Regulations issued in terms of section 27(2) of the Disaster Management Act 57 of 2020 provide otherwise.

This directive provides clarity with regard to the way various matters are to be enrolled and heard and also details the health and safety measures which must be put in place should a physical hearing, of any nature, be convened.

All businesses are encouraged to familiarise themselves with this Directive and may download the full document below to access its contents.
